Message From The President
It’s time to be off and running in a new year, with a new show, new programs, and, hopefully, lots of new orchids. It’s also time to renew your membership. OSNWPA is the only venue Erie has to bring orchid speakers, programs and shows to this area. To do this, we need your support. We have a great roster of programs for the coming year, and we hope to see all of you re-up!
Membership dues are due in January. They are still $15.00 per year, per individual, $20.00 per family membership. Send checks to Susanne Lester, Treasurer at the address on the masthead. Thank you.
In January, OSNWPA will continue its new Attendance Gift Certificate program. For each meeting you attend, a slip with your name on it will be placed in a jar. At every third meeting, one name will be drawn from the jar and awarded a $25.00 Gift Certificate to an Orchid Nursery of YOUR CHOICE! If you attend one meeting from January thru March, you will have one name slip in the jar. If you attend all meetings you will have three name slips in the jar and a better chance to win the gift certificate. So mark those meetings on your calendar!
We had fun with our monthly raffles last year, and would like to continue them in the coming year. Please consider donating any extra divisions or starts of orchid plants, as well as any other orchid-related or non-orchid related items. We will be happy to provide a formal receipt for tax purposes. These raffles can be great fun and a chance to try something you may not have considered if you had to purchase it retail.
The Christmas Party! OSNWPA certainly can cook. Everyone brought something different, and it took several trips to try them all. I can testify that they were all delicious.
